The quest to keep established platforms for effective interfaces with the customers was taken to another level with the hosting of another customers forum in Abeokuta. Speaking extensively, Engr, Fortunato Leynes, the MD/CEO, disclosed that series of upgrading operations, fault detection and clearing, staff restructuring amongst others are on-going to ensure mutually-beneficial solutions to power distribution and payment.

Leynes stressed that customers’ complaints centers and hubs have been established to address all customers’ issues bordering on electricity distribution services and customer billing matters. He said, IBEDC has brought efficiency to its distribution, marketing and commercial operations. Also, physical cash payments are now being discouraged since they are open to all kinds of abuses. Payments options have increased; banks, online and other designated payments points are now accessible and convenient, very soon, the Pos will be perfected and deployed to various hubs and centers.

In attendance were the representatives of the executive governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun,the CP,O gun Command, the ex-president of Nigeria,Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, the Awujale of Ijebu Land,Oba Sikiru Sonariwo and the management team. Customers were given ample time to presents their complaints and expectations and the meeting ended on a brighter note of better things to come.
