IBEDC ENERGIZES IJAIYE COMMUNITIES AFTER 8 YEARS OF BLACKOUT

The management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has put smiles on the faces of electricity consumers in the ancient town of Ijaiye on route system, Oyo state, after an eight-year period blackout which predated the era of privatization.

The MD/CEO, Mr John Donnachie took the swift decision to ameliorate the sufferings of the people of Ijaiye, an outskirt of Ibadan, that is now becoming strategic economic location in Ibadan due to the siting of the new Railway Terminus that will link the Agege Railway Terminus in Lagos state. This is coupled with the World Bank road project from Ijaiye to Iseyin making the place a commercial hub for business in less than two years from now.
