IBEDC Inaugurates Business Hub in Offa
The Management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC) has extended warm Christmas and end-of-year greetings to its customers, reiterating the company’s commitment to reliable power supply and improved customer experience despite the current limitation on available electricity for distribution.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of IBEDC, Engr. Francis Agoha FNSE, in a Christmas message to customers, reflected on the enduring significance of the birth of Jesus Christ, describing it as a timeless symbol of sacrificial love, hope and service to humanity, values that continue to guide IBEDC’s operations and engagement with customers.
Engr. Agoha assured customers that IBEDC has strengthened operational readiness for the 2025 festive season, building on lessons from previous years. According to him, the company has deployed enhanced network monitoring, fault-response teams, and digital customer service platforms to ensure stability of available supply and prompt resolution of outages during the holiday period and beyond.
“As we celebrate this season, IBEDC remains fully prepared to respond swiftly to faults and operational challenges. Our offices remain open for extended hours throughout the holiday period for vending and other critical operations,” he said.
The IBEDC boss also reiterated the company’s zero tolerance for energy theft, warning against meter bypass, illegal connections, and vandalism.
He encouraged customers to prioritize safety, especially during the festive season, by avoiding dangerous practices around electricity infrastructure.
Customers were also reminded to take advantage of IBEDC’s secure digital payment platforms and multiple customer engagement channels to ensure seamless transactions and uninterrupted service.
Engr. Agoha concluded by appreciating customers for their resilience, cooperation and feedback throughout the year, expressing optimism that 2026 will deliver even greater improvements in power supply, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
“On behalf of the Board, Management and Staff of IBEDC, I wish all our customers a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, prosperous New Year,” Engr. Agoha said.
